The CWA began in Western Australia in 1924. The aim of the Association then, and still, is to improve the wellbeing of all people, by promoting courtesy, cooperation, welfare in times of need, community effort, ethical behaviour, wise use of resources, friendship and fun.

CWA members have now been sharing skills and making a difference in local communities for eighty five years. The organisation has never been more relevant than it is today -  whether it's providing practical tips on how to survive the credit crunch, or ways to live sustainably and be kind to our environment.
